Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

Just not coping.

I hate everyone and everything and I can't work out if I feel like crying or screaming. In the last week I had a friend put up a post on Facebook which triggered my ptsd real bad and when I commented that it wasn't funny I was told that they chose to see the light in it. As if I have that choice!! Well I can't see the light in something that gave me ptsd and the notion that one can simply choose one's reaction to a ptsd trigger is beyond mean. I ended up unfriending them coz I didn't deserve that. But It sent me spiraling to depths I've not experienced since 2003. Then on top of that my family started on me again and I spent the whole weekend wishing I could just die. I didn't know what to do and on Monday morning I went to work having no idea how on earth I was gonna even speak to people let alone do my job. Now I just feel really angry.

I'm fed up with being treated like crap. I'm fed up with feeling like crap and I don't know why this is happening. Yeah I know there are some mental health issues there but for Pete's sake I've had enough of always feeling like I'm under fire.i know I'm reacting to everything and it's giving me the ****s. Am literally p!$sing myself off. And I'm no good to anyone in this state.

Im in such a hole and can't see my way clear. I hate ptsd

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

For some reason Tigger's taken to chasing her tail, I can't shake the thought that there's something wrong and it's hurting her or something, yet she's happy having it touched and moved around by me and she's fine in every other way, I've felt along her tail and the only thing I can feel in her tail is normal tail things like bones etc where they are supposed to be, this is maybe a intrusive thought but idk, I just felt along her tail again and she thinks I'm a nutcase or something now I'm sure

Someone please tell me I'm being silly and Tigger does not need the vet and she's not going to have to have her tail amputated? Or is this thought right?

This thought is literally just based on Tigger crouching down, swishing her tail around then chasing after her tail

Totally get that.

I nearly unfriended my niece once for insisting everything was fine if you just
focused on the positive. After some discussion she stopped trying to force me
and others to do that. Feelings are valid, whether they are negative or positive.

I think CBT helped me deal with my PTSD a little better. Not a cure by any
means, but less of a roller-coaster ride that I was screaming to stop so I could
get off.

I gather Tigger doesn't usually chase her tail, right?

If it's a new behavior, it may be a good idea to let the vet check her out.
There may be an infection that you can't feel, or allergies may be itchy.

It's very unlikely that she would need to have her tail amputated.

Found the clinical menu. Can't figure out how to adjust the pressure.
YouTube, right?

Edit ... fished around youtube ... found some help.
My pressure was set at 20, I backed it down to 14.
Start pressure was 4.0 which felt like suffocating.
Turned that up to 4.6.

My daughter offered to let me try her nasal mask today
to see if that helps any.

Thanks again psycho!

Nope she's only started doing it this year, I said about it in a facebook group as well and people on there are like "she's playing with her tail, she's fine, our cats do that"

I forgot to say (and I said it in the facebook group) that it's easy to redirect her away from her tail, she'll see one of her long dangly fluffy toys and her and Willow go after one of them the second I get one of them out so chances are it is just Tigger playing, I know from when Ebony wasn't well that if there was something wrong with Ebony she could not be redirected away from her behaviour, like when she was circling round, and when Tom's back was hurting him he would refuse to be redirected away from biting his back

Knowing this, is it more likely that me fretting over Tigger's tail is a intrusive thought?

That information does make it seem less worrisome.
