Best Med for Me? (sr. accounting student)

Hey guys, I was recently diagnosed with moderate to severe combined-type ADHD. I primarily just struggle to focus in class and while studying. Does any one of the drug options handle that specific symptom better than the rest? After endless research I'm at a loss. From what I've read, basically every med on the market will 'ruin my life' and none work better than the other lol.

So does anyone recommend one medication over the rest for higher education/studying/test taking?

Thanks everyone! I'm cautiously optimistic about treatment beginning soon, can't wait to see if it makes me...functional!

Just go to your doctor and he'll tell you what medication he can start you on.

Medication won't "ruin your life". It will help your life.

I'm on Ritalin and it works the best for me.

Are you me?

I have similar ADHD and am an accounting student, I'm on concerta for the record, but I'm not recommending anything over another as it's all I've tried and I'm not a doctor XD

Again, if you are working with the right doctor, they should be making the reccomendations. Not the other way around.

But for the record, I'm on dexedrine and abilify.
