Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

Dropped off some stuff at the library before heading for the grocery store.
Turning from the library parking lot into the street felt something 'pop' and
suddenly I couldn't turn the van. Manhandled it a couple of miles to the shop
where they said a belt had slipped off. For no apparent reason.

The guy who pulled it into a service bay said it was hard for him to steer.
Not sure how I did it. Just glad it didn't happen 20 miles from home while
picking up my granddaughter from camp!

The awkward moment when you realize you deleted a youtube video because of a typo that didn't actually exist

I have an unhealthy relationship with music... I just feel like I have to make a lyrics video for every hymn that doesn't have a lyrics video for it and I have way too much time on my hands, so I've literally done over half a dozen videos already...

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

Began getting dizzy Wed night, put myself to bed.

Woke up Thurs morning with abdominal headache. Still very dizzy.

Laid down again but felt like I'd be sick every time I moved my head.

Went to the ER, blood pressure was crazy high. Given fluids IV and meds for
the blood pressure, which then dropped to a crazy low. Slowly came back up.

But then the migraine attacked my neck and I felt it moving up the back of my
head and then in my temples. Got more meds and more IV fluid.

Decided I'd feel better at home where I got sick again. Didn't sleep well due to
the migraine. Still feeling it so I got up to take my meds, including a Norco for
the pain. Hope they don't just come back up again.

They are going to try. He has a really large tumor on bile duct and it has already killed 2/3rds of his liver. They say you can live and function on 1/3 which is all he has left. Apparently, the tumor has been slowly growing undetected with no indicators for years.

The first indicator was Wednesday afternoon when his Dr. called and said head to the ER. He had a routine blood test Monday and his sodium level was very, very low which is why his Dr. called when he got the results.

He goes in for surgery on Monday.

Thanks Fuzzy.

His surgery went well. A week later he started having all kinds of complications. They had him in physical therapy 4 days after surgery. Seemed way to early to me considering they removed tumor, 2/3 of his liver, had to rearrange some of his intestines and reroute bile ducts.

Second day of physical therapy he severely tore an oblique muscle and taking deep breaths became painful. They scanned him and found blood clots, one in each lung. Two days later they said he had pneumonia. Two days after they said he tested positive for MSRA and he was quarantined. Thankfully, the MSRA didn’t develop into an infection.

Yesterday they had to put in two stents to drain all the bile. They are concerned because his liver hasn’t healed enough to process the bile. He’s been in the hospital now for well over a month and they aren’t sure what to do.

He’s had such a difficult time!
