Re: Depression!!!

Everyone gets depressed. When it last for a long period of time is when it becomes a problem.

Re: Depression!!!

read in our psych ap book today that moods can affect memory. hence why when depressed, we tend to stay depressed since we remember previous times we felt like this and we get depressed/depressing/bad memories and stay depressed not seeing good things or the good in things. vice versa for happyness, although i dont notice it that much when im happy, but i havnt been ecstatically happy in a while, probably not since summer break.

Re: Depression!!!

Hi im not quite sure how to do this but I need help. I was diagnosed with ADHD 9 years ago and have been medicated ever since on almost everything. I don't know what to do my life is falling apart and I feel like I'm hurting everyone around me. Like I'm a poison. My moods are extremely strange sometimes I can feel nothing I'm like a robot things that my friends laugh at isn't funny for me and I spend a lot of time alone ( 8-12 hours a day reading or avoiding my family). Hallucinations like people saying my name but no one is there and sometimes it's like the walls and floors are breathing. I also have episodes of depression and paranoia that can become full blown panic. I also have other symptoms like no motivation and whole conversations and events that are missing from my memory like when I drive somewhere like to school I forget the drive there it's like I'm just… there. The memory one has also caused my relationship wih my family to the breaking point as in I will be kicked out soon because I'm "not a productive member of the family" but I don't want this to be too long. I can't talk to anyone in my family because they don't believe me and avoid me. Im so alone in a house full of people that either hate me or I make their lives so stressful that they can't be around me. Sometimes I cant help but feel like the world would be a better place without me. I know my family would.

Re: Depression!!!

Sometimes it's so hard to get out of bed. Other days are fine and I feel great like I never had depression at all. But when reality sets in and cloud 9 floats away it's not so great. I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life. It sucks. I have talent and I'm smart, but I can never focus on one thing to see it through. Sometimes I'm afraid I will be homeless, I don't want to have a hopeless future. Any of you ever feel like this>

Re: Depression!!!

Yes, me too. On some days I hate the thought of having to get up and face the world. On other days, I don't want to go to bed because I know that in the morning, I'll have to get up again.

Excel, I'm sorry if you've mentioned this already. I didn't read the entire thread. Are you getting any help with your depression? Any treatment?
