I find that even taking anti-depressants I need to exercise to get out of the grey area between depression and being well. Where I am not really, really, depressed - it is a low level depression that seriously effects my motivation and a place where I don't often feel truly happy.

The problem is getting into the exercise to get out of the grey area. Sometimes it takes a really long time but it is always worth it.

thats my problem. due to an interesting upbringing (nothing bad), ive become cynical and negative, but only half the time, usually while im medicated, cuz when it wears off, im not thinking about that stuff, im thinking now, if somebody talks about it to me, then i fall in. i try hard to not focus on negatives in life (when i fall into it), but its hard to just stop when it starts.

running is great but starting off with a walk is good.

my depression becomes a vicious cycle of me getting down and cynical, then it falls into the self-defeating personality issues. so i does everything in my omnipotence to not get depressed. like keeping occupied.

that's why you have to be doing something ALWAYS. it may be hard at first, but depending on what type of person you are (and/or what type ad/hd youve got) will aid you there. im always working out, on computer, jamming to music and playing air guitar, building a t-shirt cannon, or out with friends if im lucky. just stay busy and the rest of happiness stuffs shall follow
