Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

So many posts to catch up on in this thread, but really need to be lesson planning.
Want to be a better friend all the time.
Also the boy came home from night shift and is totally konked out, and kitty is curled up on a pillow, and they are so cute, and it looks warm and snuggly, but I need to be lesson planning. ::grumble::

I didn't have that kind of relationship with my dad at all, or even with my mom.

It was very hard for me to be in a relationship because I didn't feel that love

Small talk soon becomes difficult if not painful for me and that’s when feeling irritated begins. Irritation usually gets worse whenever, I attempt to have a “real” conversation. Usually, nobody is interested in any topic for long. They give it about 2 minutes, if I’m lucky.

They are more interested in small talk and joking around only. I then feel more uncomfortable and irritated being there. After about 5 mins. of small talk, I’m ready to roll if there’s no more substance to socializing than that.
I have the exact same "affliction", and have since age 12. It sucks.

What's bothering me is my increasing anxiety of picking up my meds at the pharmacy. Every month it seems there's a new hoop to jump through. "We don't have this drug in brand name and can't order it", "your insurance isn't covering this drug anymore" "we tried to call your doctor, there's a new law with paper prescriptions and your doctor is using the 2018 protocol which is no longer valid".

That last one was on Jan 1st. And the month prior I ran into the usual problem with electronic scripts. I hate the electronic scripts because I have no idea where to tell my doc to send them, because no pharmacy will actually tell me if they carry the medicine or can order it unless I show up with a paper script! So it's a time consuming guessing game, and then I have to call my doctor and make another educated guess as to what other pharmacy they should re-send the e-script to, and then they don't have it. After a few times of this I worry that asking my Dr to try again would make me seem like a pain in the *** problem patient, and it's not their fault I have weird reactions to certain generics. So I just go without meds and wind up having a ****ty unproductive month.

I promised I wouldn't do that to myself next month but given the pharmacy needs me to contact her already I'm starting off on the wrong foot. Is it just me or is it getting harder and harder to get ADHD meds filled? I know some people with chronic pain and they are in way of a worse situation in that they are in physical agony without their meds, while my brain just doesn't work well without mine

I got of at the wrong train station this morning and got lost in my own city trying to find my way to work. I've only lived here my whole life! Then I just couldn't get my brain into gear all day.

I've done this before, it wasn't even the wrong station, they were renovating and the exit I usually take was closed. so i'm storming down a different yet similar looking long avenue, and all of the sudden i realized I wasn't passing the usual stores and then i get to this boulevard, way off to the left of the office
