Oh no. Does he do this at times? Can any of the cat experts on here maybe advise something?

Have you changed his food? Has there been any changes in the house? Sometimes cats stop eating due to stress.

Is he still drinking?

Is he insured? (pet insurance) (just thinking for in case you need to find the money for a vet visit)

Have you tried several different types of food? Maybe cook him some chicken just to get him to eat something, if he'll accept chicken?

In the emergency room with my husband who is about to be admitted for surgery. Who knew a stomach bug could end up so complicated. I've been up since 3am. Exhausted. At least they have given him some painkillers!

Willow's going into the vet this morning for some tests find out if the extra sound the vet found in her heart is anything to worry about.

There's good news and bad news

The good news is the vet's not massively concerned for now about it, she said its just something they need to keep a eye on at the practice every time she goes in for any reason

The bad news is if she ever needs an anasthectic or however you spell it, she might never be able to have one of them in the future and for now if anything was to happen that meant she would need one they would have to be very careful

I'm glad to hear the good news -- and I guess the bad news is at least useful to know.

Maybe not you, but if there should come a time when she ever needs vet care, the vets can at least be aware of the need to be very cautious with anaesthesia.

I'm glad the vet isn't too concerned for now, though, and I hope you and Willow (and Tigger) will enjoy many good years together.

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

There was some upset about what the Dalai Lama had said about a female successor. He was even banned from Twitter for this. He reportedly has said that the female successor has to be physically attractive. Needless to say how people generally interpret such a comment... Of course, he is just being very practical, I think.

I mean, when you want to sooth a large group of angry, ****** off males because of some incident that has happened, or when you want to influence a large group of males, a attractive female leader will have a better chance in succeeding than a non-attractive female. It is just a deeply ingrained thing in the male psyche. Don't get me wrong, a female leader of this kind has to have many qualities (being intellegent, diplomatic, very skilled in talking, etc.), but being physically attractive is very helpful, and can be very effective, as I have explained. So relax people!

Um, men can put on their big boy panties and deal with the idea that women
can do anything a man can do, and one thing they can't ... have a baby.
