Much ado, I do contest
about nothing as I suggest
are words strewn about
like autumn leaves turned brown, they flout
a prisoner are they at best
but friend's of trolls ye might have guessed

Held captive by a poets pride
words should be free, thus I deride
an angry mod, or was that mob?
at this troll doth lyrics lob
to plant, to nurture, I do my best
or else defender words have lest

words in poems meadow scatter to and fro
bringing a new fragrance to old thoughts that's so
old thoughts that once were dry and lifeless
now are filled with new energy and zest
they freely dance around in poems lovely field
and careful are they with the power they yield
hardly bond at all to the the poems author
these are my thoughts I gladly do proffer
unleash your imprisoned mind from doubts snare
and join us in writing poems I dare

To your call I answer this
Without a stutter or a lisp
I shall partake in poetry
It will be neither dull nor dry
We'll find a way to entertain
Come sunshine or come rain
Since it's summer, let's hope sun
Of the poets here, count me as one

Though lacking in talent and scant in wit
I'll craft these rhymes and never quit

This disaster is nearly through
I am quite partial to haiku:
I like to keep things short and sweet
Surely U of T will be a treat

I like writing poetry. To me, it's a good way to express myself. I can use it to help[ me process what is going on in my life. I also can use it as an outlet to deal with my frustrations in a positive manor

The more I write the easier it becomes , therefore the more I want to write
