ALSO

(I'm sorry I always double post!! I just think of things and everything...)

My mouthpiece for my clarinet, I bought it at a conference years ago because it has great tone, it was exactly what I was looking for!! But at the time, I did not realize it makes my clarinet really really sharp because it is not actually made to be played at A 440 (or American tuning)...I guess it's more for people in Europe. I don't know why they were selling it here, but it does sound really nice.

The past 2 years, since I haven't been playing much, I just dealt with it, but now I've been having more gigs again.

But I just did a little research and I found out they made an American version recently!!! EEK I'm so excited!! Just asked for it to be special ordered for me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREAMS!!!

(((((((DREAMSY)))))))

.......
Tonight I'm grateful for a warm shelter. It's 3 degrees outside, and it dawned on me earlier how good I have it...to have a heated apartment and warm bed to sleep in.

Re: Today I am grateful for... (Part II)

Freshly ground coffee with a splash (or two) of bailey's irish cream. Mmmmmmmmm......

Temps warm enough to melt even more of that white crap. YES!!!

Music with enough vibrational pull to make me want to move my feet and dance like a fool. I've got more moves than ex-lax. Hahahahaha!!

Releasing energies that have been bogging me down via hot salt bath, tibetan singing bowls, deep diaphragmatic and alternative nostril breathing, and soothing lavender, rosemary, and coconut oil blends. Ahhhhhhhh........... That's the best thirty-ish minutes I've spent nurturing myself, so far, today.

Just move to New York, and practice. The Phil plays at a pretty high pitch last time I checked. (Maybe not as far up as in Berlin, but higher than 440.)

Or, just play it everywhere, and revel in "Well, at least the clarinets aren't all playing flat tonight".

Re: Today I am grateful for... (Part II)

I'm grateful for people who can reflect upon and discuss the differences of others without automatically labeling the opposite of what they feel to be correct or appropriate as being "stupid".

Why would peeps wish to seek out your company if you continually put others down for not being on board with your personal brand of s***? What part of that is appealing, attractive, or even slightly meaningful in creating beneficial changes? I'll never understand the appeal of doing so.

Differences and non-acceptance of your particular views or beliefs does not equal stupidity. Insulting others in the process of trying to improve yourself only works to damage all who are affected by it even more vs. fostering effective and healthy change. Checking the mirror more often and making time to go inside is time well spent.

Re: Today I am grateful for... (Part II)

I started going to this little café on the way into work (not the big one I used to go to, which ended up being a very sad place)
They've kind of adopted me to their little circle! (the owner, a client and the same people always seem to come in). It's really nice.
