"Stoned" on Concerta?
I've been on Concerta 54mg for 5 days. No side effects, but driving in the car yesterday morning I found myself reallllllyyyy getting into the music and it struck me that, yes, while it's been over a decade since I last got high, this is similar to what it felt like when I would "catch a little buzz." It has been like this, but the sort of "wow" effect of the music (it was during pink floyd's "Time," which I hardly ever hear on the radio).
So does this affect anyone else in a similar manner? It's not unpleasant, but takes a little getting used to. Peace, Zoomman.

Re: "Stoned" on Concerta?
I remember happier times in life on meds listening to music and many years
later starting meds again the music began playing in my head(I was humming it out of the blue). Could be how emotions and music get connected in your mind. Oh I like The Wall mainly but the Dark Side of the Moon is often called the ultimate headphone trip. |

Re: "Stoned" on Concerta?
I haven't experienced this, but I do know that when I listen to music with a fast beat, I am able to concentrate better.
In fact, I will wear headphone and listen to Evanescense or Green Day when doing something I need to concentrate on. It helps greatly, with or without meds. |

Re: "Stoned" on Concerta?
I've just started taking concerta, and I have to admit I experienced a real 'lift' in my mood when listening to any music that I associate with good times. I'd normally feel like that but the concerta definitely amplifies the feeling

Re: "Stoned" on Concerta?
The very first day I took it (18mgs) I felt as though I smoked pot. I really felt stoned to put it lightly. It happened the first two days on it and it never happened again after that.
