When to reduce dosage of Vyvanse?

My doctor recently (2 to 3 weeks ago) switched me from 108mg of Concerta a day to 70mg of Vyvanse. My experience so far has been mostly positive. However, I have had some slight cardiac discomfort which seems to be correcting itself as time goes on. My doctor and I have been monitoring my blood pressure, so I'm not worried about that. However, I have had persistent problems with falling asleep and/or staying asleep. I do have some sleep medication at my disposal, but I'd prefer to not rely on it. I'd be interested in hearing about other people's experience with Vyvanse and to know if the negative side effects like insomnia tend to lessen over time. Roughly how long should I wait on my current dosage to revisit the topic with my psychiatrist?

Thanks in advance!

M

Re: When to reduce dosage of Vyvanse?

Are you able to email your doc? I've just now titrated to 60mgs so I'm not much help, but anytime the side effects outweigh the benefits, then I'd say to drop it down.

What time do you take your vyvanse? You should contact your doctor whenever you are having negative side effects.
