Anxiety meds , procrastination and ADD
Dec 17, 2017 - 9:56 AM - by JohnW1
Hi,

Does anybody find that anti-anxiety meds help with procrastination and general frustration in daily tasks , caused by ADD?

I would always seem to be able to accomplish tasks faster and better when working directly with a friend. I think it takes away some level of frustration .

I'm trying to figure out, if it is simply because I like to socialize, or bc the other person is there to help if there is frustration , so it eases the level of... [Read More]

Stimulant paranoia...is it a thing?
Dec 15, 2017 - 9:32 PM - by doglady85
Hey ladies! I hope I am doing this right, I have been a long time lurker but my first time actually posting, because I couldn’t find any solid answers on the other threads. Been on aderall for 7 years, 30mg XR. Recently started adding calcium, magnesium, iron and vitamin d (lots) to improve my mileage. (Runner for a hobby) In recent months I feel an extreme increase in my irritation...like I cuss people out and have quit my job...completely unlike me! I have also had numerous fights with my... Parenting a Floudering ADD College Student
Dec 15, 2017 - 5:30 PM - by DaisyDot
I can't find a better thread for this, but I'd love to hear stories of what parents have tried for their young adults with ADD. Ours thinks he's too old to be micromanaged, but he is consistently flunking. Had a scholarship to a university, but flunked in first year. Moved home to attend community college . . . and is succeeding in some classes and flunking others (the ones that let him turn in work late). He can get accommodations but won't. Won't read books on ADHD. Won't see a counselor.... [Read More]

Arguing - Debating - ADD
Dec 11, 2017 - 11:16 AM - by BuckisMunz
I grew up in a family that loved to talk about the hard stuff. We never shied away from conversations that were difficult.

Some people when a debate or argument arises shut down, and don't want to talk.

I can respect that to some degree. Cuz I spew things out of my mouth and think out loud. I may say something I don't agree with, but being verbal is how I process information at times. Sometimes it really helps me, other times I just need to shut up and listen.

HRT & ADD Medication effectiveness
Dec 09, 2017 - 4:39 PM - by JellyBeanBear
Anyone here on HRT?
Anyone notice a significant difference in medication effectiveness when having a 'bleed'?

I know that progestins are supposed to interfere with ADD medication effectiveness and that ADD is worse during the luteal phase (PMS phase)
but,

what about during a bleed? (when on estrogen but not progestin)

curious

thanks
